Once again this year, AECC Biologie participated in the Annual Conference of the National Association for Research in Science Teaching (NARST). NARST aims to improve science teaching and learning by fostering collaboration between interdisciplinary research, industry, and education. The 97th Annual Conference was held under the theme "Science Education for the Rest of Us."
Linda Hämmerle presented the findings of her project titled "Learning the Control-of-Variables Strategy through Self-Generated and Vicarious Errors," in collaboration with Shelbi Kuhlmann, Theresa Krause-Wichmann, and Andrea Möller.
Veronika Winter shared part of her dissertation in her talk, "Pre-Service Biology Teacher Beliefs about Climate Change Education," co-authored with Alexander Büssing, Niklas Gericke, and Andrea Möller.
Andrea Möller gave insights into her joint research with Petra Bezeljak Cerv and Brue Johnson in her presentation, "Participatory Photography with Urban Middle School Students: Their Connectedness to and Perceptions of Nature."
In addition to the conference presentations, the event's program provided numerous opportunities for interdisciplinary and international exchange with both early-career and experienced colleagues.
